Rachel Gresham
AIA, MBA, WELL AP, CDT

Rachel R. Gresham, AIA, MBA, WELL AP, CDT, is transforming how architects approach business and leadership. As Senior Director of Professional Practice Programs at AIA National, she develops programming and resources that equip architects with the financial, managerial, and strategic tools needed to thrive. With an MBA from Belmont University, her research explores the intersection of organizational structure and firm culture.

Passionate about fostering strong, inclusive workplaces, Rachel focuses on firm prosperity, workforce development, and leadership training. She ensures that architects at all career stages gain the business acumen necessary to navigate an evolving industry.

Previously, Rachel served on the AIA Middle Tennessee Board and co-founded its EDI Committee, leading efforts to drive data-informed change in the region. She also mentors future design and construction professionals through the ACE Mentor Program of Nashville, strengthening the industry’s talent pipeline.

Clare Levison
CPA, CGMA

Clare Levison is a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Inspired Responsibility, a consulting company dedicated to delivering continuing education via positive messages and meaningful content that inspires change.  Prior to founding Inspired Responsibility, Levison spent more than twenty years in the aerospace and defense industry involved in all aspects of management, project, and financial accounting, as well as government compliance.  

Levison currently serves as a member of the American Institute of CPAs Professional Ethics Executive Committee and chair of PEEC’s Artificial Intelligence task force.  She is also a fervent financial literacy advocate and the author of “Frugal Isn’t Cheap: Spend Less, Save More, and Live Better.”  She has appeared on major radio and television networks across the country discussing finance topics and has been a contributor to numerous publications including Family Circle, Fox Business, Glamour, Kiplinger’s, Redbook, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and U.S. News & World Report.

Implementing the 2012 IECC for Commercial Construction
The 2012 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code has been adopted by AHJs in many parts of the country. The 2012 IECC is a quantum leap forward in building performance and will have a significant impact on how architects and engineers work together to design high energy efficient, high performance buildings. In this course, speakers illustrate the changes in the code affecting architecture design and give an in depth look into the building science and physics behind the the changes and how they will result in significant energy reductions. They will emphasize that the process to achieve compliance must be a team effort among all members of the project early on and describe how to demonstrate compliance with the code and advantages and disadvantages for each pathway. This course is presented in collaboration with AIA Middle Tennessee, which produced the course and provided it for delivery on AIAU.  Course expires 5/22/2025
