Pelin Atasoy has more than 30 years of architectural experience, along with 25 years of experience in technology, productivity tools, and system development. Pelin is the founder of MADCAD, a cloud-based reference library with more than 80,000 codes and standards from more than 20 publishers essential to the construction industry. In addition, MADCAD provides adopted codes, standards and amendments for more than 23,000 jurisdictions. As an architect in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Pelin managed more than 6,000 residential units in high-rise and mid-rise residential buildings from design through construction administration. She has been a pioneer in using advanced technology for architectural projects since the 1990s, which led her to the advent of MADCAD. Pelin is a registered architect in D.C. and a member of AIA, ICC, NFPA, ANSI, USGBC and NIBS.
