AIA Entrepreneur Summit 2015: Art Gensler Keynote + New Models
Art Gensler reflects on 50 years in business, and a panel of innovators discuss firm culture and practice.
This first-ever Entrepreneur Summit brought together architects, business leaders and others to explore the traditional definition of what it is to be an architect, and to discuss strategies that architects can use to become more entrepreneurial, imagining new services offerings for their clients and communities, or develop an entirely different career path. The Entrepreneur Summit explores the possibilities of what we can do to become a more prosperous profession. This course features the Summit keynote address by Art Gensler, FAIA, as he reflects on 50 years of practice and building a globally successful professional services firm. Next, you'll gain insights from a panel discussion with three innovators who pushed tradition aside and embraced innovative practices in their business careers.
Attendees will be able to:
- Describe the philosophies and practices that helped make Gensler a hugely successful global firm.
- Explain Art Gensler's views on practice and people management.
- Explain ways in which architects have all the ingredients needed to be successful entrepreneurs.
- Learn best practices and identify business and personal challenges that can foster or inhibit an entrepreneurial endeavor.
