From the muted natural tones of the Industrial Revolution to the saturated hues of the ’60s and ’70s to the warm reds and greens of the New Millennium, throughout history color has reflected the moods and movements of society as much as it has influenced the aesthetics and emotions of design. This live course will evaluate color trends throughout history and discuss how trends tend to resurface in ways that feel new and fresh. Then, participants will explore the color trends that are beginning to infuse residential and commercial projects in 2020 and beyond—and how they can leverage the past to anticipate the future.
