Description: 

This session investigates actual implementation of Technology systems at the K-12 level. Specifically, the continued convergence of audio-video, security, voice, intelligent sensors and PoE. It reviews the historic path of technology from the mid-1970s into the future and addresses how the built environment responds to the welfare of communities.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the evolution of the current IP-based protocol and how that impacts the current trends in technology. 
  • Explore systems application of TCP/IP and how they are most beneficial for the end-user in terms of security, health, and individual experience.
  • Investigate the necessary cabling infrastructure to support TCP/IP to provide the best end-user performance.
  • Identify the expected technological advancements based on both past and current trends as well as public/private needs.
