The Value of Paint
The value of paint will begin by taking a look at why we paint, including protection, beautification, and safety. The course will identify the four basic components of paint and their impact on paint quality and performance. Then learners will understand improvements in Latex (alkyd) vs. Oil- base resin technologies. Next details on characteristics of quality paints and coatings are covered. Finally, an understanding of the impact of paint air pollution regulations and limits of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in modern coatings will be covered.
