Mara Baum

Mara leads HOK’s health and wellness design practice, with a focus on improving the well-being of the people who occupy workplaces, buildings and communities. Based in San Francisco, she provides strategic leadership for sustainable design and consulting for the firm’s global Healthcare group.

Mara sits on the USGBC’s LEED Advisory Committee and is an online faculty member for the Boston Architectural College Sustainable Design Institute for which she teaches Green Building and Health and Sustainable Design of Healthcare Facilities. A frequent speaker on sustainable and healthy design, Mara is a WELL AP, WELL Faculty member, LEED Fellow, licensed architect and holds the EDAC (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification) credential.
