Matthew S. Chalifoux, AIA, is Architect, Principal, at EYP Architecture and Engineering, based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. His projects have included Lincoln Cottage in Washington, DC, the Lilly House at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the U.S. Supreme Court Building, the United Nations Headquarters and the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. While his projects have ranged in scale from house museums to federal courthouses they have all included the sensitive insertion of new technology and systems to provide appropriate levels of climate control, life safety and security while also being environmentally sensitive and sustainable. His projects have received local, state and national awards for design, historic preservation, construction and sustainability.
