Principal, Durand-Hollis Rupe Architects
Gabriel Durand-Hollis, FAIA, principal of Durand-Hollis Rupe Architects, was selected to represent the International Union of Architects and serve as the sole U.S. juror among a panel of seven for the Rio 2016 Olympic Park Competition. The panel met in Rio de Janiero for a week in August to judge this prestigious international design competition. Mr. Durand Hollis was the Treasurer for The American Institute of Architects in Washington, DC from 2012-2013 and is a candidate for AIA 2015 First Vice President/2016 President.
Mr. Durand-Hollis is the main point of contact to the client for over-all issues. He has over twenty years of professional experience in design, master planning, programing, cost estimating and project management. In addition, his experience ranges from the renovation of the San Antonio International Airport to warehouse space planning, to governmental and high-rise office buildings. Mr. Durand-Hollis is a Past-President, Pan American Federation of Architects Association; 2004-2008, Past-President, Texas Society of Architects, 1999; Past-President, AIA San Antonio Chapter, 1992 and Fellow of The American Institute of Architects since 2003.
