Dr. Eve Edelstein

Ph.D, MSc, MArch, EDAC, Assoc.AIA, F-AAA

Dr. Eve Edelstein, Assoc.AIA, EDAC, F-AAA has a unique background in research-based design, with degrees in anthropology, basic neuroscience, clinical neurophysiology, and architecture. Dr. Edelstein is co-founder of Clinicians for Design, a design consultancy with an international network of experts who collaborate at the interface of design and health. Eve led the COVID-19 Front-Line Task Force for the American Institute of Architects, a team of emergency medicine, intensive care, anesthesiology, nursing and subject matter experts. The resultant report recommends design interventions for care facilities based on recent and emerging biomedical studies that can also be applied to all built settings. Dr. Edelstein is a Board member of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture and is faculty of the Neuroscience Applied to Architectural Design Master Program at the University Uiav, Venice Italy, and the NewSchool of Architecture for Design in San Diego. Eve's international presentations include videos for the BBC and PBS, keynote addresses for TEDx, the American Institute of Architects, and the American Academy for the Advancement of Science, among others. Eve's qualifications include a Ph.D. from the Institute of Neurology, University College London, a professional Master of Architecture, a Master of Science and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley
