Elie Gamburg


Elie Gamburg, AIA, a Senior Associate Principal at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), has 12 years of experience as a designer. Since joining KPF in 2004, he has led the design efforts of a wide range of projects in the United States, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and India, bringing a global perspective to his work. As a design leader at the firm, he has experience with a variety of program types including commercial, retail, mixed-use, academic, institutional, and master planning.

His projects have helped to strengthen KPF’s global presence and digital design expertise. At KPF, Elie has been among several designers leading the adoption of digital technology, including the adoption of parametric design and the use of the rapid prototyping (including 3D printing) in the design process.

He has been actively involved in the academic realm in addition to his work in the professional field. A valedictorian at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Elie has taught first and second year studio design at New York Institute of Technology for seven years and at Cornell University for the summer of 2002. At AIA New York, he was an event chair for the Global Dialogues lecture series, organizing events on digital design under the title of “Uncovered Connections.”
