Dorothy Gerring
Professor Dorothy Gerring is a registered architect and has over 30 years of professional experience teaching people about sustainability. She has certification in both USGBC’s LEED AP BD+C and Passive House Institute US’s CPHC. She teaches Architecture at the Pennsylvania College of Technology and her book “Renewable Energy Systems for Building Designers” will be available in the fall of 2022. Dorothy has been faculty advisor for multiple DOE Solar Decathlon Design Challenge teams (and predecessor design contests) and served on the National Green Building Standard 2021 revision for Chapter 7, Energy Efficiency. She has spoken to many different groups, developed degrees focusing on sustainability and energy, and appeared in “green” media programs.
