Thom Greving

A Principal and Regional Design Director with HKS Architects in Los Angeles, Thom Greving is driven by a keen sense of observation to deliver extraordinary outcomes that address changing cultural, technological and ecological realities. Thom is an architect that thinks and acts both like a designer and a manager. The results are meaningful places and experiences that resonate with people and the planet. Encouraging his teams to focus on the people they're creating for, Thom leads with a process that is research-based and outcome-driven and always aware of the effects the built environment has on the health and wellness of humans and the planet.

Having lead design efforts in many sectors, Thom is currently Design Director of the Education studio in California, most recently directing the design of two 2,000-bed living and learning neighborhoods for UC San Diego. He has extensive experience in the design/build delivery approach used on complex, large projects and often lectures on his approach.
