Melissa is a design researcher, information designer, and storyteller with experience in architectural design. Her market research focuses on understanding industry trends and the impact they have on design. She considers the user experience fundamental to design, exploring user preferences and behavior to link back to the built environment. Melissa also brings her skills to CADRE (Center for Advances Design Research and Evaluation), which is the nonprofit research arm supported by HKS. With a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a certificate in leadership studies, she aims to bridge research and practice through the communication of ideas, education, and strategy.
