Daniel Homsey

Daniel Homsey is the Director of The Neighborhood Empowerment Network (NEN) for the Department of Emergency Management of the City and County of San Francisco. A fourth generation San Franciscan with a degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University, Mr. Homsey joined the City in 2004 and in January 2008 became the Director of the NEN, a coalition of residents, civic networks, foundations, non profits, businesses, government agencies, faith based and academic institutions.  The NEN’s mission it is to empower residents with the capacity and resources to build and steward stronger, more resilient communities and is a recognized best practice by the CDC, FEMA, The UNISDR Campaign and the Ash Center at Harvard’s Kennedy School.
