Jeremy Kalin

Jeremy Kalin is the President of Eutectics Consulting, the Midwest’s leading financing experts for building-scale clean energy project. Eutectics facilitates energy efficiency and renewable energy financing for building owners and contractors. The company’s Main Street Model has gained national recognition for its focus on local partnerships alongside global capital.

As President of a mission-oriented, for-profit company, Jeremy works to move clean energy solutions into the mainstream by building new financing solutions oriented to commercial buildings, large and small. In 2012, he facilitated the nation’s first community bank-funded Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) project, a turning point for energy efficiency financing nationwide. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at GOVERNING Institute, which is focused on accelerating new public-private partnerships in clean energy financing.

Previously, Jeremy served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2007-2010, authoring nation-leading energy efficiency policies and innovative clean energy financing platforms like Property Assessed Clean Energy and utility-funded solar PV funds. He co-chaired Minnesota’s Green Jobs Task Force in 2008-2009. At the request of the White House, Jeremy founded the national, bipartisan Coalition of Legislators for Energy Action Now (CLEAN) with over 1,200 state lawmaker signatories. CLEAN continues today as a project of the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators and has played a lead role in defending and expanding clean energy and climate policies in State Capitols and on Main Streets across the country, even in the face of polluter-driven attacks.
