Clare Miflin

Clare has over 20 years of architectural experience, most recently at Kiss + Cathcart, Architects where she helped develop their philosophy of "productive" architecture to provide human, environmental and economic benefits. Clare led the development of the Zero Waste Design Guidelines for the AIA New York, to address the crucial role that the design of buildings and cities play in achieving circular material loops. As a certified biomimicry professional, Clare finds inspiration from natural systems that she applies to the urban environment. She is the founder of a consultancy - ThinkWoven - which focuses on weaving together buildings and vegetation, humans and nature, and metrics and vision. Clare is Co-chair of the AIANY’s Committee on the Environment, on the board of BiomimicryNYC and Sustainability Coordinator for her local food cooperative.
