Mitchell S. Milby

Mitchell S. Milby, Esq. is an AIA Professional Affiliate and the founding member of Milby, PLLC, a law firm devoted to the representation of design professionals. An accomplished trial attorney and trusted advisor for approximately 20 years, he has tried more than 100 cases to verdict. He assists design professionals with corporate matters, including business formation and operations, contract drafting and negotiations, and litigation of design disputes. Mitchell has repeatedly achieved one of law’s most distinctive honors: A-V®Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5, according to the standard-setting Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ that measures the highest levels of ability and ethical integrity for lawyers. This high rating placed him on the prestigious Texas’ Top Rated Lawyers list for 2012 and 2013. He was recognized as a “Best Lawyer Under 40” by D Magazine in 2005, and is a also a Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation.

Mitchell is been a regular contributor to the AIA (Dallas) magazine Columns and has had opinions published in the Dallas Business Journal, Texas Bar Journal, and Texas Lawyer. He is a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Arlington, Graduate Engineering Program, and is a regular presenter at the AIA Dallas and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, Dallas Chapter. He received his law degree from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College with honors (Certification in Environmental and Natural Resources Law), and he received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University with honors (Cum Laude).
