Jaelon T. Moaney

Jaelon Moaney is a Manager of Federal Relations at the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He supports the organization’s lobbying efforts before Congress and the Administration. As part of that work, Jaelon analyzes federal policies that impact the profession of architecture. His portfolio includes historic preservation, STEAM workforce pathways, student debt relief and learning environments. Before joining AIA in 2021, Jaelon worked for almost three years in the U.S. Senate, serving Marylanders both on Capitol Hill and across the state. He graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Political Science, Leadership Studies, Africana Studies and Environmental Studies. Jaelon was honored to spend three separate summers interning in municipal government, the Maryland General Assembly and the U.S. House of Representatives.
