Gabe Oliver

Gabe Oliver is a Vice President of GCS-SIGAL, a commercial general contractor in Washington, D.C., founded in 1977. His recent projects include the Residences at St. Elizabeths East, a conversion of an early 20th century mental health facility into 252 units of housing and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, recipient of the D.C. Historic Preservation Board’s Chair Award and the ENR Mid-Atlantic Project of the Year. Mr. Oliver holds degrees in Engineering and Architecture, and his work focuses on how project teams thoughtfully balance preserving history and pushing the building art forward, while examining how technologies, old and new, can improve buildings and the communities they inhabit.
