Pamela Sams

Pamela Sams, AIA, is a Design Realization Leader at the Washington DC office of Gensler and the 2016-17 Chiar of Technical Design for Building Performance AIA Knowledge Community. With her team members, she pushes to integrate data driven investigation into the full breadth of the design process in order to solve problems knowledgeably and to optimize a building's performance. This approach is valueable to clients and leads to truly innovative designs.
She has been a Technical Designer on design teams designing and building many innovative and complex projects in the U.S., Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. In the last few years, she has completed the design for a new Forensic Laboratory Campus for the Department of Justice, which achieved a Gold LEED Certification, and a Major League Baseball stadium. She is currently working on a Renovation and Expansion Airport Project in the Middle East.
