Sarté is an author, engineer, and professor. He founded Sherwood Design Engineers, a 21st century engineering firm that has worked on hundreds of innovative international projects in over 20 countries. John Wiley & Sons published Sarté’s first book Sustainable Infrastructure. He lectures widely and currently teaches the graduate course Infrastructure, Resiliency and Public Space at Columbia University’s GSAPP. Sarté’s nonprofit, Sherwood Institute, leads research and innovation at the nexus of critical water and energy issues.
