​Kate Dudzik Smith​

Katherine has more than 20 years’ experience practicing architecture in the desert Southwest, working on different building typologies from performing arts centers and K-12 schools to custom design-build homes and public art projects. She is an active advocate for design as a catalyst for positive change in communities, especially against the stigma of homelessness. To realize clients’ needs in built form, Katherine begins each project with deep listening and then works with teams to deliver innovative and inclusive design solutions that consider the project’s unique climate, community, budget, and longevity. Katherine is Senior Design Architect in HDR Architecture’s Phoenix office.
