Associate Director, Atelier Ten
Michael Tillou, PE, BEMP, is an Associate Director at Atelier Ten. Mike has over 20 years of experience in energy analysis, commissioning, and building management systems, working for both national engineering firms, suppliers and specialized consulting firms. He has been leading Atelier Ten’s efforts in energy optimization both in design and post-occupancy since joining the firm in 2012 and has been instrumental to the growth and success of the firm’s energy analysis practice. Mike has worked on a variety of commercial, institutional, university, museum, healthcare, and laboratory projects. Most notably, his projects include Marina Bay Sands, the LEED Gold targeted NVIDIA Headquarters, the LEED Gold targeted Consortium for Building Energy Innovation (CBEI) at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, and the LEED Platinum Tata Hall on the Harvard Business school campus. Recently he has worked on projects at Harvard, MIT and Columbia focused on long term campus carbon management and energy efficiency. Professionally, he is a longtime member of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 and a former recipient of Consulting Specifying Engineers 40 under 40 Award. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a registered Professional Engineer.
