As Executive Director of AIA Birmingham, Rhéa has led the creation of one of the Alabama Center for Architecture in the United States, located in a renovated historic building in the city's downturn heart. The Center will serve as both the physical home for the Birmingham Architecture Foundation and the AIA Birmingham Chapter, vibrant nonprofit organizations that provide resources to both the public and building industry professionals. One of the first exhibitions to be located at the Alabama Center for Architecture in Birmingham is the FitNation travelling exhibition. It ties in perfectly our mission to be an educational center for the greater Birmingham community, to help the public learn more about the value and impact of architecture and to develop greater understanding of architecture's influence on our lives, our communities and our world.
