Dave Goldberg is President of Mithun, an interdisciplinary design firm dedicated to creating positive change in people’s lives. Under his leadership, the firm has grown to become a national practice with offices in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and has received diverse design and industry recognition including the 2023 AIA Architecture Firm Award and eight AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top Ten Awards. Dave’s notable projects include the IslandWood Environmental Education Center, Chatham University’s Eden Hall Campus, a net positive campus for the Falk School of Sustainability, and the Living Building Challenge targeted Industrial Commons Innovation Campus in North Carolina.

David studied architecture at the University of Virginia and University of Washington. He has been instrumental in advancing a model of sustainable, interdisciplinary practice through hands-on design, community service and firmwide leadership, and has been a regional and national advocate making a positive impact on the profession. David has served on numerous boards including the University of Washington Foundation and IslandWood, and lectures nationally on integrated design process and sustainability.
