Chances are, if you're using Autodesk, Trimble, Esri, or similar tools, your design, construction, and asset management collateral is already hosted on public cloud platforms — and those platforms play a central role in how your data is stored, shared, and enabled for downstream use.

What's more, they play a role in how your enterprise's value is interpreted. As AI agents and automated workflows become consumers and servers of enterprise platform data, context and trust become central questions — and where they go unanswered, implicit technical debt accumulates quietly across the estate.

The barrier between traditional cloud platforms and Design and Make platforms is collapsing — and the estates are merging faster than most firms can govern them.

I develop architecture to keep the boundaries legible. Systems like the APS Control Plane — a migration governance tool cited on Autodesk's official developer blog — surface every link and dependency across a firm's platform estate before anything moves or automates. My goal is to treat modern AEC systems not as isolated tools, but as programmable, governed infrastructure — capable of being automated, orchestrated, observed, reasoned against, and scaled with enterprise-grade clarity and trust.

Data Driven Approaches to Carbon Reduction in Design

This course explores how integrated digital workflows can support architects and designers in evaluating and reducing the carbon impact of building projects. Participants will examine how sustainability data, performance metrics, and benchmarking can be incorporated into early and ongoing design decision making using digital tools. The session focuses on understanding how carbon related insights can inform design alternatives, support regulatory and voluntary reporting requirements, and align project workflows with industry sustainability commitments, including the AIA 2030 Commitment. Emphasis is placed on practical application, data informed decision making, and the role of technology in advancing environmental responsibility within architectural practice.
