Jeffrey Brand is Principal, Executive Director, and leader of the healthcare practice at Perkins Eastman, one of the world’s top-ranked healthcare design firms. A recognized expert in and frequent speaker on the design of programmatically complex healthcare facilities and medical schools, Jeff collaborates with prominent clinicians at leading institutions to create new delivery models that speed the shift from institutional inpatient care to accessible, personalized outpatient care. Emphasizing evidence-based design and in combination with a robust technology infrastructure, Jeff’s planning and design innovations have enhanced the efficacy of complex care in compassionate, human-centered, design-forward settings, resulting in new design paradigms.

Jason Harper
AIA, LEED AP

Jason Harper has honed and applied his talent for healthcare facility design throughout his 30-year career. He has successfully guided many healthcare clients through complex, multi-phased planning, and construction projects. With his experience and knowledge of the medical industry and its emerging trends, Jason guides his clients to solve both short-range problems and to achieve long-range planning goals. His commitment to fostering the mission of his healthcare clients guides his efforts in delivering projects that are at once functional, beautiful, and sustainable. Jason is focused on the response to healthcare reform and the impact of design decisions on public health. As a response to Hurricane Sandy, Jason led efforts to increase the resiliency of NYC’s hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Rita Ho
AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Rita has over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture and over 15 years in healthcare projects in U.S. & Asia. Currently, she is a project manager at Kaiser Permanente dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve health of the members and serve the communities. Rita is currently co-chair of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health Webinar Committee.

Manjiri Paprikar
AIA, ACHA, LEED AP 

Manjiri’s first experience with healthcare design began during her internship, where she conducted a post-occupancy evaluation of a hospital, This experience revealed to her that the true measure of design success lies in the users feeling valued and cared for in the spaces they inhabit. Her commitment to a person-centered approach in health planning and design has been instrumental in delivering impactful projects of various scales and phases, both domestically and internationally. 

Manjiri combines a solid academic foundation from Texas A&M University with 18 years of dedicated experience in healthcare planning, design, and research.  

With an ability to navigate both micro and macro perspectives, Manjiri can break down challenging problems, transforming data and analytics into engaging narratives and compelling scenarios. This empowers clients to make confident decisions that resonate deeply with the communities they influence.
